McLarty Associates, an Ankura company, has announced the launch of a new practice to help empower companies across a range of sectors to navigate the increasingly dynamic global landscape of energy and critical minerals. Leading this new practice is Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt, who most recently served as the United States’ chief energy diplomat leveraging energy resources to advance the security of the United States and its allies and partners around the world.

Ambassador Pyatt is a 35-year Career Foreign Service veteran and senior leader steeped in international energy, geopolitics, and European and Asian affairs. His service as a United States Ambassador included six years as Chief of Mission in Athens and three more in Kyiv, Ukraine, where he led the U.S. response to the Maidan popular movement, the resulting revolution and Russia’s invasion of Crimea.
