WSP Promotes Two Transit Leaders

Angela Schwarz to Lead WSP Transit and Rail Business; Inez Evans Benson to Serve as Deputy

As transit agencies modernize and expand infrastructure, recently promoted leaders elevate WSP’s voice in the industry and enhance delivery of cost-effective and sustainable solutions.

WSP has announced the appointments of Angela Schwarz, senior vice president, to transit and rail market leader; and Inez Evans Benson, senior vice president, to deputy transit and rail market leader, emphasizing the firm’s commitment to professional advancement and recognition of outstanding work.

In her new leadership role, Schwarz will grow the firm’s presence in transit and rail markets; ensuring client success with state and local transit agencies; building relationships with consultants, industry associations, railroads and contractors; and overseeing planning, design, program management and construction management assignments on major projects, such as the Positive Train Control Project for New Jersey Transit and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s (MTA’s) communication-based train control (CBTC) program for New York City transit.
