Maria Turner is a Managing Director at AArete and leader of AArete’s Payment Intelligence®, a health care payer solution addressing payment integrity and beyond. She began her career in consulting, providing cross-industry audit services, later serving as CFO for a global brand management solutions provider.
With nearly 20 years of consulting experience, Maria has evolved AArete’s Healthcare Payment Intelligence® practice from a comprehensive, manually intensive approach to a tech-forward, industry-leading solution. She partners with leading insurers to create solutions targeting the root causes of industry challenges.
Maria, founding Executive Sponsor of AArete’s Women’s Initiative Network established in 2018 and key member of AArete’s Executive Leadership Team since 2022, has served as President of the Professional Accounting Council (PAC) at the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business since 2018 and joined the Tippie Advisory Board in 2023.
Her honors include the 2020 Consulting Magazine’s Women Leaders in Technology – Excellence Leadership Award and the 2023 University of Iowa Tippie College of Business Outstanding Accounting Alumni Award. Maria is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and member of Women Business Leaders (WBL) of the U.S. Health Care Industry Foundation and the Illinois CPA Society, and published author in several reputable publications.
