Analysys Mason, a global management consultancy focused on telecoms, media and technology, has appointed John Alexander as Non-Executive Chair. As Chair of the Board John will play a key role supporting the management team and investors as the company looks to continue its strong growth trajectory.
In 2022, Analysys Mason announced its partnership with Bridgepoint Development Capital (BDC), a fund focused on growth companies operating in key sectors experiencing structural growth. In the four years leading up to this partnership, Analysys Mason had more than doubled its revenues, driven by strong organic growth as well as a number of successful acquisitions in Germany, Norway, Sweden and the USA. The TMT sector continues to grow in size and complexity, extending the breadth of Analysys Mason's addressable market. The management team sees strong potential for the company to continue its organic growth in its core areas of Regulation and Policy, Strategy, Subscription Research, Transaction Support and Transformation. In addition, there are significant opportunities for further acquisitions. Analysys Mason is an attractive partner for ambitious management teams looking to become part of a global collaborative network of experts focused on the continuous enhancement of deep domain knowledge in the fast evolving TMT sector to the benefit of our clients.
John brings significant experience as both a CEO and as an independent chairperson of PE-backed companies in global professional services, delivering business process improvements and both organic and acquisition-driven growth. As CEO and then Chair, he led ERM through three PE-backed investment cycles and MBOs securing strong returns and attractive investments from/for PE investors. Notably, the ERM Partners reinvested at each event and retained some 40% of the equity in the business over this ten-year period. As Chair of HKA he supported the management team following the initial carve-out sponsored by Bridgepoint through to its recent sale to PAI Partners. And finally, as Chair of PA Consulting, he worked with the management team and their investors Carlyle, to grow the company and secure further PE-style investment from Jacobs when Carlyle exited. He continues as chairperson of both HKA and PA Consulting. He has lived in Australia, Belgium, the UK and the Middle East and has worked on projects worldwide.
