Tetra Tech, a Pasadena, California-based engineering and consulting firm, has acquired The Kaizen Company, a Washington, DC-based management consulting firm specializing in international development.
Founded in 2004, Kaizen provides management consulting services to help developing countries improve economic growth, health, education, governance, and stability. The firm has completed more than 50 projects worldwide across its core service lines, which include innovation & entrepreneurship, organizational development, and communities of practice.
Kaizen's partner and client list includes government agencies (USAID, USTDA, US Department of State), consulting firms (Deloitte, Aecom, Tetra Tech), and nonprofits (The African Capacity Building Foundation, Girls for Change). The firm has more than 150 staff globally. Tetra Tech's acquisition of Kaizen will strengthen the firm's international development practice within its government services group. The company has supported international development programs for more than forty years, including numerous projects for USAID.
