Each February, Consulting magazine shines a light on smaller firms that are shaking up the profession from the bottom up. They are firms breaking new ground in terms of firm management, but they are also breaking new ground in terms of their financial performance. Year in and year out, the Seven Small Jewels far outperform the overall profession. This year, it was no different. In 2016, our seven winning firms grew revenue at 45 percent, three percentage points higher than in 2015. The Seven Small Jewels are highlighted in this special 12-page section. Their stories are different, yet there's a common thread that runs through each and every firm. Each Small Jewel has carved out a unique niche to help topple many of the Goliaths of the profession. In addition, we highlight this year's Seven To Watch—impressive firms, for sure, but they aren't quite ready to be named one of our Seven Small Jewels. Stay tuned.
