Microsoft Corp. CEO Steve Ballmer may have seat on Accenture's board, but Oracle CEO Larry Ellison now owns the roof over the heads of Accenture consultants — or rather, the roof now over the heads of those Accenture consultants who last month joined the firm's latest innovation center, located on Oracle's Redwood Shores, CA, campus.
Accenture is the first of Oracle's consulting firm partners to open up shop on the Oracle campus, where it expects to develop services-oriented architectures (SOA) based on Oracle's Fusion middleware.
"The center is designed to promote collaboration between Accenture, Oracle, and our clients," says Jim Hayes, managing director of Accenture's global Oracle practice. "We believe that we can bring SOA to life by going to market with Oracle and identifying opportunities early on."
