According to Kevin Cope, founder of Acumen Learning and author of Seeing the Big Picture , all companies are driven to success or failure by the same five simple drivers—cash, profit, assets, growth and people. The book will help readers appreciate how day-to-day decisions can balance these drivers and contribute to the big picture of your organization's success. Cope uses both real-world examples and the fictional story of Austin's Cycle Shop, which evolves from a one-man store to a nationwide public company, to illustrate how the drivers operate. The book's publisher bills it as an MBA in just under 180 pages. Not quite, but it's certainly a good start.
